  Donald & Henry,

I've uploaded the photos here for you, as the Spit list doesnt allow
attachments:

Just seeing those photos beings it home how much I got away with. Mine
seems a light scratch in comparison. Can you expand on the speed that
the car hit?

And what an end to such a wonderful car that had just been restored...
and I felt bad because I had just spent a few hours installing an
exhaust system the week before!

I do wonder if it still a good idea for me to continue to try use a
Spitfire as a daily driver, but I cannot afford 2 cars... after getting
the hire car that is being supplied by the insurance company this
morning... even with the horrible weather outside, it felt comfortable
and bright... most of all a little bit more safe.

Would it be better to be using something safe now, so I can enjoy my
hobby later...? Hmmmmm.....

But my passion for these cars is overiding all of that at the moment...
and I dont think I can live without my Spit... this morning was the
first time I have driven a car since the accident... it was just a
little scary...
