I concur with the recommendation to contact Joe Curto for SU needle/spring
recommendations. When my SUs were rebuilt, they were rebuilt with the
correct needles for a stock 1500cc Spitfire, but my engine isn't stock.
When I spoke with Joe C., I told him what had been done to my engine and he
made a recommendation - spot on! (Actually, I think I bought 2 sets of
needles and one was spot on, the other close but not quite. Still good
enough for my recommendation) I also purchased a set of (stiffer?) springs,
but haven't tried them yet. Will when it's back running again and the snow
goes away....
