George, I tend to use (in this order) Spitbits, BP Northwest, Moss and
ultimately Rimmers in the UK if I am really stuck. I trade off tax (Idaho 5%)
at a local Moss distributer vs shipping especially for small parts that they
can get in their bulk Moss order and I can wait a week.
I used to used Harold's TRMG parts but he moved about the same I did and I used
to pick up at his place going to/from the airport, so convenient and no
shipping & no tax (in Oregon).
Never used TRF due to hearing about their back order status on too many parts
from various folks.
Rimmers can take some time due to the postal carriere they tend to use for
normal delivery and usually I only get parts that I can't get here or when it's
something on special and there's free shipping.
Which reminds me, I do need to get some bits......

My temp guage never really reached the 3/4 mark, but approached it (about a
needle width away). It was mostly more in between the 1/2 and 3/4 marks,
far more typical for that car. And as I mentioned, I could see the needle
going up and down (slightly, but moving none the less) as the thermostat and
fans did their job. I may go to a cooler thermostat, but not until I get my
parts order put together (speedo cable, thermostat, and a few other things).
BTW, where do you (or anyone on the list?) buy your parts? I've always been
partial to The Roadster Factory, but my last few experiences have been that
most of the parts I *need* are backordered and that frustrates me greatly.
I'm thinking of Moss, but they've seemed to have high prices on some stuff
(Rimmer gets good reviews on the list, but I'm not sure I'm ready to deal
with an overseas vendor if I don't have to). Anyway, vendor recommendations
are welcome....
