Thanks to all who offer advice a few weeks ago on windshield installation. I
have just finished the job, and while it was not really easy, it was MUCH
less difficult than I had expected. For those interested I used KY jelly and
heavy nylon cord--like used in a chalk line. The window pretty much
installed itself with some straightening of the gasket afterwards. Found a
handy tool for manipulating the gasket, I happened to have an old (very
old!!) medical scalpel. It was brass under the chrome plate. The flat end
with a little curve bent into it was perfect!!
