Dear Richard,
Thanks for your sympathy - and sorry for the delay in replying. The
birth of our second son has played havoc with my normal e-mail-answering
routine...
I have taken a two-stage approach to the problem of hood- and
tonneau-slashing. The first stage has been to re-fit the hard-top.
In August. Just as the sun has started to come out. Grrr. The
second stage has been to find a garage to rent. The best I could find
is going to cost me GBP32.00 per month, and is a good fifteen minutes'
walk away. Grrr. I take possession at the end of the month, at which
point I shall be able to remove the hard-top. This is also when it is
going to start raining solidly for nine months.
