 John and List,

I think the message that many have tried to lay out over the past several
days has been missed. many on this list consider themselves close friends
with the other members. I have been a member since March of 1998, and as
such know the folks on this list closely and consider them the highest of
friends. Many of which have given or lent me expensive parts or tools for
the cost of shipping and perhaps a cup of coffee if I had it.

When you walk into a group as potentially close knit as this one, and then
try and use it soley for your own gain, and turning list members against
each other you defeat the community. To folks that have been here, and been
part of the give and take, they find such actions offensive. As do I.

Last I checked MJB allowed commercial interests on the lists, with certain
and specific qualifiers. I don't remember them, if interested he has them
posted somewhere.

Do I find it objectional for someone to sell something here, NO. I do find
it objectional for someone to walk into this community, announce he is
selling off his cars for another marque and then use our list as a mass
mailing advertisement system, trying to pull every ounce cash out of us that
he can.

This list has always been open to anyone that enjoys our cars, the only
thing that I would expect is for someone to become a part of the community
of the list, and not see us solely as a commercial interest.

To the many people that have sent me stuff over the years for either nother
or dang near it, let me say thank you. If I can ever repay the debt I
certainly will.

No flames intended, just hoping to shed light.
