A bit late , but this brings me to the following questions ....
a) Which is correct for a Spitfire 4 ( aka Mk 1 ) , stainless steel or
plastic chrome trim ? ( I would guess stainless as the front trim is also
stainless )
b)Is it still available new ?
c) Does anyone have an extra used stainless steel ( or plastic chrome ) trim
available they'd be willing to part with ?
d)Is it possible to modify the windshield stainless steel or plastic chrome
trim to fit ?
TIA

Steve,
I haven't bought one to try it yet, but I'm told that the rear hatch seal
for
GT6's (still available) make a fine replacement and only have to be trimmed
a
little for length. Some have suggested using a windshield gasket and while
this should also work, the GT6 hatch rubber is preferred because it has a
lower profile than the windshield rubber and looks better. Plus, like the
windshield rubber, the GT6 hatch rubber also has the all-important channel
for
running your stainless steel or plastic chrome trim around.
Take care,
