Here's some close ups of the end of the steering column and both ends of a
clean flex assembly.
If you can maneuver it, you actually only need to pull the column end bolt
out but on mine it was easier to release both and pull it out.
BTW- when I was taking the pics I noticed the steering shaft was bent a tad
out of line, must have happened when I pulled the tub off and forgot to
release the column first! #@*##!$^%
