There is a specific oil sold for carbs (which I use) available from Triumph
dealers (or probably any classic car suppliers).
There are a few varied views on the benefits of using different weight oils
in the carbs, but most use normal engine oil, same as they use in the
engine.
The only reason I use the dedicated oil is that I was given a free pot (by
my favorite Triumph specialist, who were feeling slightly guilty about
something) a while ago and I haven't finished it yet.
