After greasing the rear hubs, it is a good idea to pull
the brake drums and wipe away any grease that may have been
forced past the outer seal.  Otherwise, it could get onto the
brake shoes and drums, which would be a bummer.  You
really ought to pull the drums once a year anyway to inspect
the braking system.

There is also a little drain hole in the backing plate, just
underneath the axle shaft.  It is supposed to allow the surplus
grease to drain out, but it is usually totally blocked
with crud.  Scrap away all the crud from the rear surface of
the backing plate, and you will see what I am talking about.

P.S.:  Don't over-tighten those little flat-head screws that hold
the brake drum!  And replace them if they are beat up! And
put a little bit of anti-sieze compound on them!
