I believe it is possible to get the fuel tank repaired, but I've never done
it so I don't know how. Worth pursuing, however, as Rimmers sell
reconditioned tanks for #200 ($300), so that's worth avoiding if at all
possible!
Good luck with the car, and I hope your are out enjoying it on the open road
as soon as possible. If your mileage isn't at least 3 times what your Chevy
does, there is something badly wrong....
