Been there, done that! Just finished (are we ever totally finished) with my
1980 Spit.

Just drop me a line and I'll try to help!

Subject: New Guy

Hello,

I'm a new guy to Spitfires, done LBCs for a while though, having bought my
car last Saturday. It's a 79 1500 California model with overdrive, bad white
paint and trashed suspension. Oh and did I forget to mention the OD slips a
little too. :-) The good part is I drove it home from where I bought it and
today it passed Ca smog for the transfer AND passed it with flying colors.
It has 68.000 miles and no rust and hasn't been wrecked and I got it at a
real good price so I can spend a few bucks on her. I plan to make a good
driver not a show car and use it.
Being a new guy I'll have a lot of stupid questions and I'll ask stuff
you've heard a 100 times so just give it to me all at once. (G)

Cheers,

Jon Paschke
Tehachapi, Ca
79 Spit
And a lot of other LBCs
