yup- and if you get it on any pre-existing filler, it all has to come off.
The chemicals soak into the filler and will cause the fresh primer and paint
laid over it to lift. Same thing if it oozes into any holes (both the ones
that originated in Coventry and the 'mods' that Father Time has added
*grin*)- it'll linger on the backside of the panel and return to haunt you.

BTW- my wife is starting to wonder about this newsgroup- we seem obsessed
with "rear end rubbing ", how big we all are, "going topless", the
occasional "swap meet" ('don't EVEN try that one on me buster'), "bodywork",
a long thread on removing stains that had her checking my collars, "wax oil"
and "thrust washer lube" (she says those two just sound nasty...) and now
"strippers". Then of course the thread about cleaning parts in the
dishwasher put me in the doghouse with no proof of offense or pretense of
trial. The only one that she approved was the "Vacuum no more" thread- that
one sounded ok...

Good Luck!

Question, when using chemical striper on the body to remove paint and so on
do you need to neutralize the metal afterwards to remove any remaining
stripper?

Thanks
