Dave Bean Engineering (http://www.davebean.com/)
sell a seal 'nylos' seal which replaces the felt seals.
I have purchased the kit, but have not installed it yet.
so I can't really say if it is better.
I found it recommended on Chris Kantarjiev's page:
http://www.dimebank.com/Bubbaspec.html, which describes the
mods to his autocross champion GT6.
BTW, as others have noted, use care when installing
aftermarket felt seals. I ended up with a set where the
piece the felt is glued to would have interfered with
the bearing.
(I'm not subscribed to spitfire-enthusiast, so please
feel free to pass this along)
