I have experienced a problem in my lower A Arm with the trunion hole
becoming elongated but I have never had a weld failure show up. Symptom
of the elongated hole was tire wear and significant shaking of the
steering wheel at highway speed.  If a weld failure is common it is
certainly a concern!
