For Trans, OD or non and Diff use Redline MT-90. Redline specifically
recommended that to me in an e-mail for use in our Triumphs. It is a GL-4,
75W-90.

The label says most GL5s contain sulfur which can shorten synchro life by 50%
compared to MT-90. Hopefully the MT-90 can help the spigot and lay shaft
bearings last as long.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<,

As to the type of oil, there has been lots of discussions about it.
The thing to watch for is to make sure the oil you use does not
corrode the brass gears in the gearbox. But most people seems to
agreed that Redline GL5 synthetic with friction modifiers will
   work well in our gearbox.
