For Sale - 1980 Triumph Spitfire convertible - last year for the
Spitfire.
This 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500 is in excellent condition throughout.
Car has been well maintained all its life - all maintenance records for
the car are available from February 1985 to the present, all the way
down to each and every tank of gas!
This Spitfire is white with sport decals. It comes with a custom
hardtop(in excellent condition) as well as the convertible soft top
(also in excellent condition). The four cylinder 1493 cc engine runs
extremely well. Triumph advertised this engine as delivering 71 bhp, 82
lbs/ft. torque, and up to 50 mpg at a constant speed of 55 mph. Recent
mechanical repairs include a new battery, alternator, battery cables,
and rebuilt clutch master cylinder. Car is in overall excellent
mechanical condition.
Interior is in excellent condition as well. Interior is black vinyl
with checked cloth inserts, truly beautiful in appearance. The ONLY
flaw in the interior is some cracking and peeling of the woodgrain
dashboard.
Body is also in excellent condition. Car was repainted several years
ago and still makes a beautiful presentation. Detachable hardtop was
painted at the same time, so it matches the car exactly in appearance.
Car has dents, dings, or blemishes whatsoever. Minor spots of surface
rust in engine compartment and wheel covers.
