I had another dream about spitfires last night:
I had bought another 2 spitfires from the Spitfire Graveyard for #500
each, both in quite a tatty condition, one was a 1500 that I was going to
use as a spares car and the other was a mk3, but for some reason I
decided I didn't want the mk3 and took it back to the graveyard, I think
it was because the sills and floorpans had been replaced by plywood!
Also the softtop was made from cotton sheet material. very strange...
I also find that when I'm driving the spit about the only thing that I
think about is spitfires, either worry about the latest strange noise
that has developed, indulgantly thinking about how great my little car is
or deciding which parts I will buy next, I think I'm becoming a little
obsessive...
cheers
