Overall, Dunlops have a stiff sidewall, especially compared to Pirelli. So
just about any of them will give you a more stable feel.
I've run Dunlop D60's for years now, and been quite well pleased with them for
general street use. Stiff sidewall, quite predictable, good traction. They
are noisy though, don't work so well in the rain, and are horrible in the snow.
Those negatives apply to small cars like a Spitfire apparently. The folks
with larger cars running the D60's don't have these complaints. As far as I
know, this series tire isn't available in the size you want though.
Another company you may want to check on is Sumitomo. Following some advice I
tried a set of their HTR4 next instead of the Dunlop D60s. I've been well
pleased. Not sure if cornering traction is better of not, but rain traction
sure is. They are quieter and softer riding. Cost the same as the Dunlops,
same UTQG.
