I've regained some optimism, but it's starting to wane again. I'm having trouble locating a replacement motor without mortgaging the farm. Does anyone know where I can get a motor for a 77 Spit at a reasonable price? Failing that, can I get some recommendations for modern replacements? Someone suggested a motor from a small pickup, like a Toyota. Does anyone have specifics? Thanks.
