Entirely possible that it isn't able to spin the syncros properly. Redline
makes synthetic gear oils in seve
ral different styles, partly for this reason. I use synthetic in all my
cars, however before I do a new car I always contact Redlines tech dept to
see what they recommend for the particular application. No problems so far,
and it smoothed out the shifting quite nicely on my Audi 4000 Quattro that
has 344,000 miles on the drivetrain.
