Yesterday my mechanic replaced my 1500's original equipment carburetor and
manifolds with a new Weber DGV kit and a new 4-2-1 stainless steel Bell
header (all parts from Spitbits). Wow, what an astonishing difference! The
gain in responsiveness is amazing, everything sounds smoooooth, and the
engine even looks far more efficient.
Thanks to all who helped recently in response to my questions about manifold
removal and header selection. Ultimately, I'm very glad I reached the
decision not to do this myself. (I made some initial lame attempts before
giving up.) This was way over my head.
The car runs like a total dream now!
