Yes, I did. And so has my good friend Bob. Bob is the service manager for a
good sized Ford dealership in the L.A. area. All during that Firestone debacle,
I thought he was going to have a stroke! (People thought the public was treated
badly-they should have been an employee!) I hope that this recall doesn't
finish the poor fellow off! (I hope he's leaving one of his British cars to me!
;-)
On the post that of three cars in the family, only the Spitfire is running-my
moment of pay back came last year when my ex-boyfriend, Maurizio, who so
vehemently opposed my getting the Spitfire, had to ask me to drive him not
once, but twice to pick up his Sentra from the shop!
I was talking to another of these types last night who think that because he
has to wear a jock strap, he knows everything about cars-he was critisizing me
for having an 'old' car as a daily driver. And he was all excited about the
'new' second car he's getting-reliable, beautiful etc...a used Chrysler LeBaron
convertible! (I hope he's not paying much, I know several people who'd gladly
*give* theirs away!)
Crikey!
Laura G. -"Yes! The Spitfire is still running!"
