Transmission Woes

Finally got around to pulling my transmission today.  It was the $.99 clip
on the mainshaft. It had broke in two and slid down the shaft.  The rest of
the trans looked good, bearings felt smooth and it worked fine before the
clip broke so I deciced to just put it back together with the new clip and
gaskets. Works great now.  3.5 hour start to finish. I ordered two clips so
I can have a spare. Thanks to everyone who offered advice.
