Atwell, I can only assume that the tracks have opened/widened. They are bent
metal shapes that the other part slides in. Maybe a little bit of a squeeze
in a vice to tighten might work. Just watch you don't damage or make them too
tight.
At least you know we are out there. Most likely nobody has run into this before.
I had thought that it could be that drive ballast resistor disconnected on
the passenger side........
