WARNING!!!!
I ordered a top from this guy and had to cancel my order because I could not
get him to ship it. Here is an account of what happened.

November 28, 2000 I ordered the top and he said it would arrive in about 10
days. I gave it about two and 1/2 weeks and called to see if he had shipped
it. He said it would be shipped out the next shipment. I asked him why it
had not been shipped yet. He got aggravated at me and said he had been in
the hospital and was under doctor's orders to work half days. He said it
would be shipped with the next orders, whatever that means, and that it
should arrive sometime the week after Christmas. I waited an additional week
and called to see if it had been shipped. Guess what? He told me it would be
shipped out the next shipment. I told him he had told me that two weeks ago
and again got aggravated and went into how he had been sick and how he only
makes $12.00 on each top and that it was not worth $12.00 to jeopardize his
health. I finally asked him what day it would be shipped and he refused to
give me a date. He said that if I couldn't wait that I could have a refund.
I opted for the refund which hasn't been processed yet and its been about 10
days.

I also found it interesting that when I called the 800 number to check on
the order he said I had to call the other number because the 800 number was
for orders only. When I called the other number the same guy answered!! He
has a girl answering the phone sometimes as well and she is not much help
either because she has to put him on the phone to answer any questions..

This seems like a small operation and I'm not saying you should not order
from him, and maybe he has been sick. However, he should not promise over
and over to ship if he does not intend to. If you do order be prepared to
wait a long time and have to deal with a very unprofessional outfit. If this
guy gets over his illness maybe his service will improve. But in the mean
time beware!!

On Monday, January 8, I ordered a Robbins vinyl top from Spit Bits and
received it on Thursday, January 11. That's seervice!!!!!! I had to settle
for a vinyl top but at least its here at my house instead in limbo.

I guess a cloth top for $229.00 is too good to be true.
