I have fitted my new seals but after looking at various photos, catalogues and
Reid's car I still don't know what the "correct" fit is.
I have the A pillar seal fitted nicely under the furlex.
Reid's car has the rubber of the furflex and the A pillar seal both with about
3 inches hanging(?). His is an orginal 1979. But on a lot of the pictures I
have seen this cut just in line with the top of the windscreen frame. So what
is correct?. Does the extra hanging rubber need to be left? I do have both hard
and soft tops. I don't remeber having all this extra before the car was painted
and it does not show up in the pictures I have. But then I never took a
detailed on of this area. I do know that the furflex needs to be cut so
aluminium the header rail(?) fits correctly.
