Insurance insurance insurance.
Most accidents involve "things at the front" and most insurance
payouts just look it up and write a check.
I suspect almost all bumpers, bonnets, and fenders sold
by these guys are sold to body shops doing insurance work.
The spitfire is a little "special" because the way the
bonnet and fenders are one, but is a Midget fender worth
$599 US? I had six in my basement I couldn't give away.

Perhaps, but a transmission is lot easier to work on DIY
than
a differential.
If you are careful and have basic tools, you can strip and
rebuild a tranny. Not so with a differential, setting the gear
mesh is a bit of a black art.
