on all 1500's at least.... the single radio speaker was
mounted on a panel that sat diagonally in the corner
of the passenger inside 'glove shelf'
If you look at the forward edge of the box nearest the door, you'll
probably see a small metal flange sticking out that the side panel
next to the A post where the panel attached. The rear edge of the speaker
panel (thick cardboard...just like the box) was simply bent and screwed
into the back of the box.

Sanyo 4" diameter speakers set in the A pillars on Ron Deaver's 80
Spit. They sure look like they were stock. Nice flush mount, but somehow
I doubt Sanyo was the supplier of speakers for late model Spits. Where
are the speakers supposed to be mounted?
