I finally replaced that intermittent OD on my 76 Spitfire. The problem with the original became immediately apparent as soon as it came out. The threaded end of one of the thrust pins that one of the operating pistons retaining strap bolts to was broken off. I found the broken of piece and the nut still threaded on it inside the gearbox. The donor OD went in without issue and works perfectly. Mike |
