Potentially useful things I discovered recently:

1: If you use Hammerite paint (great stuff!), clean up afterwards
    with Xylene.  Regular paint thinner or mineral spirits just gums the
    stuff up.

2: Did you know that the Spit's engine crankshaft axis is NOT centered
    in the car?  It is off an inch or more to the right.
