I have to agree, I think the Toyota engine has it's advantages. Reliability,
availability, low cost and I think low weight as well. A Spit with a Toyota
engine? huh, go figure.
Even more odd - how about a Harley or other motorcycle engine in a Spit. The
"Legends" race cars use a "?" motorcycle engine and seem to rip around the
oval track down at the fairgrounds pretty well. They are a bit lighter than a
Spit.
