Well, after signing all sorts of forms, including a power of attorney
(didn't want to sign that one !), the shipment is on its way, at least
according to the DHL tracking site. To their credit, Rimmer said they were
going to discuss this situation with DLH, only time will tell.
The final irony, the backordered parts arrived today !
Rimmer said they did not have this sort of problem with their previous
shipper, there were Customs questions, but all was handled by Rimmer and the
shipper, not the customer. One has to wonder why Rimmer changed shippers,
(yea, I know, cheaper).
In any event, soon all the parts should be here to rebuild the "big block"
1500 motor I plan on putting in the '72 Spit. Look out, Jeff !! You'll know
it's me, just listen for the "chunk, chunk, chunk" noise coming out of the
rear end, (the cars !!).
BTW, still looking for a '71, '72, or '73 Spit. If anyone knows of one for
sale, let me know.
