John: My two cents = Arizona Emissions Testing wouldn't have been aware that 
Hobbs (77 Spit) needed an air pump if they hadn't seen a sticker under the 
hood telling them so.  Check door jams & inside of hood to see if there's a 
sticker or plate which says something along the lines of "This vehicle is 
equipped with a Catalytic Converter."
