Keith,
As BillG states, angle iron brackets work. When I bought my
car in 1975, there wasn't a front license plate bracket.
(The original UK number plate was pop-riveted to the lower
valance). I knew that I would need the brackets when I
shipped the car back to the States. I ordered the brackets,
and was surprised to find that they were little more than
angle iron. I may still have them somewhere in the garage,
I rarely throw any Spit parts out. We don't need a front
license plate here in Michigan.
