If it had the slotted wheels, and if they were original to the car, then it
should of been a '76.

I saw one in Mesquite, NV a couple weeks ago. Poorly-done white respray,
No external rust, top needs replacement. Looks to be a 74 or thereabouts
(slotted wheels unlike the later 1500s with oval holes in the wheels).
Was sitting in front of a pawn shop a mile from I-15, exit 122. Owner of
shop knew nothing of Spitfires, was just giving it some "exposure" (to the
Nevada sun no doubt) for the owner .
