I don't use OE anymore-couldn't get it to work with my ISP when I changed a 
couple of months ago. I read my email directly from the web site. But, I use IE 
browser-does this make a difference?

It doesn't seem as though I've picked up any viruses with this method, though. 
(I have checked from time to time.)
