Just a thought for some of you who are complaining about the cockpit being
too hot - I have found several LBC's (including some Spits) in the past
where the hot water valve for the heater did not turn off completely. It
appears as though many cars were built where the heater control cable does
not have enough movement (from the factory) to completely control the valve
mechanism, ie the dash control has less movement than the valve requires. I
have had to loosen the fitting on the valve (where the control cable
terminates) and manually close the valve, then re-tighten the cable. I seem
to remember that the valve would then only open part way for the winter so
you would have to reset it twice a year - but hey, thats what LBC's are all
about.
Not air conditioning but it's a quick and easy place to start checking.
