John, since most of us already own a spitfire ( or more) you could always give
away parts (i.e. order parts to the value of the amount you want to give away).
We don't all have a lot of space for cars and another one however great would
reduce the amount of time spent on a current car in a lot of cases.
If you do give a car away you might want to do a follow up story on it some
while later (if you haven't already thought of that). Would be a useful
article.
Just my thoughts.

Subject: Spitfire Contest
Listers,
I need some help. In the next issue of the Spitfire Magazine we will be
starting a contest in which we give a car away. Since have very little
money, around $2000, to buy (and transport) the car, we are have problems
finding a suitable Spitfire. We have found a good GT6, however. The
question is would winning a GT6 pale in comparison to winning a Spitfire?
The restoration of the car will be documented as a means to get stories for
the magazine.
Any opinions, or cars for sale let me know (pre-emissions cars are better,
we don't want to give away a emissionless car to someone whose state won't
allow them to use it).
John
p.s. To make it even more complicated, we found a solid TR4! Would this be
better than either a Spit or GT6?
