Hi Gang.
Some time back I purchased an oil cooler and tonight or tomorrow morning
plan to install it. It was NOS and came with no instructions, so I thought
I'd put out a quick SOS for anyone who wants to give me a heads-up on
potential problem areas (since I'm mechanically challenged). Here's a couple
quick questions:
1) Cooler itself goes in front of the radiator/pusher fan (bumper side)?
2) Hose nipples should go up or down?
3) Any suggestions of how to run the hoses (other than underneath the frame,
which might make them vulnerable to shrapnel from the road)?
4) Any suggestions of the where the adapter nipples should point? (Down seems
to be the only open area...)
5) Adapter doesn't appear to have any bolt-on properties ... is it just
"pressed" on when the filter is screwed on?
If Anyone has a photo of their engine where their cooler is easily seen,
I'd appreciate a link. Wish me luck!
Scott (And Hobbs, who hates this type of surgery when the doctor is such a
bozo...)
