Hey all,
With a new spring, the negative camber on a Spit is 1 degree, enough to
notice. With two passengerts, the specified negative camber is 3 degrees.
This from the alignment specs in the Bentley (factory) manual.
After the spring gets old (about three months I'm told <g>) you get even
more negative camber. No one yet has mentioned the air-lift shocks
available through JC Whitney, but these can be fitted to reduce the
sag. Some owners have gone so far as to fit two air valves so that they
can compensate for the weight of the driver only!
A nice article is on the VTR Maintenance pages http://www.vtr.org/maintain/
A reminder, when ordering, you must ask for rear air-shocks for a 65
Corvette, or you will be rebuffed by the Customer Service flunkies.
Keep it on the level,
