Oh wise list, I'm changing the front oil seal on my 74 MkIV. There is a small grove around the crank pulley in the middle of the sealing surface. Is this normal, or is it a sign of excessive wear? At $90, I'd prefer not to buy another. I have a spare 1500 engine; I haven't looked at that condition of that one. Thanks, Greg |
