I guess I was one of those non-po owners.
My X2B was and had be driving a brand new 1977 Spit
when we first started dating. I bought a brand new 1980
in April 1980. We were a two car family... both Spits.
She drove hers for 14 years as here year round daily driver.
We even went camping in it once. Hardtop on, the trunk packed
as if IT were the suitcase, and the trunk lid stacked so the car
looked like a station wagon.
Options.... O/D hardtop, tonneau, boot cover etc etc
