NO!
The only safe way to move a Spitfire, apart from driving it, is on a flat-bed.
There is nowhere sensible to attach a tow rope to (unless you don't mind
replacing the anti-roll bar when you get there), and you can't even lift the
front wheels off the ground to tow it because the back is too low.
Causes the AA (and probably the AAA too) enourmous amounts of hastle trying to
arrange a suitable truck when the car really can't be repaired - don't ask me
how I know!
