Hi Alan
I too had the carballancer from Gunsons, they are crap, put it on the front
carb set the reading put it on the rear carb adjust the flow put it on the
front etc etc. Spent ages going back and forth without success, put it on
the front carb, removed it then put it straight back, got a different
reading tried again, tried this six times no two readings the same, slung it
over my shoulder and used a piece of pipe and my ear, much more accurate!!!
Graham.

with great success combined with a Gunsons Carbalancer (I think it was
called), so I bought one a month ago. Also so did Reid Simmons. Reid used
his successfully as he was running rich as well. Mine just so happened to
prove it was spot on so I did not have to make any adjustments. I had found
beforehand that the neddle was not caught on the threads on the piston and
so adjusting the piston via the special tool made no difference. When we
tried mine we ran through the various tests and it worked fine with the
colours changing as shown on the sheet of instructions that accompanies it.

lack of air causing a rich mixture? Sorry but can't think of anything else.
