The diaphrams are available separately for under $10. Of course, shipping
costs may be a little prohibitive for a part that could almost be stuck in an
envelope with a $.32 stamp. You may want to call around and see if one is
available locally - a surprising number of Spitfire parts are available from
Pep Boys, National Auto etc. This way you can also check out the quality
before you buy - the last one I got was a thin rubber that wouldn't hold it's
shape. It kept wanting to pop inside out - I had to hold it place while
lowering
the dashpot, and quickly pull out my little finger while slamming the dashpot
cover home before it could shift. Annoying ...
