John, et al.

I don't know of a glass shop that WILL garentee their work. In fact,
when I've wanted a windshield pulled and replaced, all the shops I called
were very specific that they can't garrentee that they would not break the
glass. If they did, they would NOT be responsible.

I've found that pulling the windshield is VERY easy, IF YOU CUT the old
gasket out first. I broke one windshield trying to remove it. So the on
the 2nd one, I cut the gasket off 1st. When I went to replace the windshield
I broke it. So I had a local, come to you type, come and install the last
windshield I had. He did an excellent job and it only cost about $45.

I may just be too heavy handed or inept, but I pulled all the glass on
several Volvo P1800s in the past many times and never had a problem.
