Fred,
I really think one of the major differences in the price vs. location topic
is local taxes. California taxes gas more heavily and Va in your example.
And our gas is taxed by our Federal gov, state gov, county gov, and city
gov's. Nice, huh? I believe that is why our overseas listers pay more as
well: Taxes. The cartel, sure, fixes prices. But when the governments tax
the stuff to death, what do you expect??

Subject: gas prices
Gas pricing is the effects of our so called congressmen, working hard for
the folks back home, yea sure, the U.S. "Exports" more oil than it
"Imports", the the rising prices from OPEC should have no bearing on our
prices at all, I think it's called bottom line profit. Why should gas be
2.00 a gallon in Calf. and 1.31 in Virginia, same product, same cost, yes
including shipping.
