The speed with which you can remove old paint etc is governed as much by the
blast media as the venturi, sharp media like carborundum will, for the same
venturi be faster stripping than say steel shot. Avoid the temptation to use
beach
sand and builders sand as they can cause a health problem (pneumosylicosis?)
due to the fine dust created when it is worn out. (beach sand also contains
a huge quantity of salt!!!). Specialist sand media is o.k.
