Dean, that online Mk3 manual will cover about 85-90% of what you need to
know. What's lacking there is tuneup info peculiar to the 1147 of the
early cars, how you fold and erect the convertible top, and possibly some
differences in how light switches work if your car is a US model with the
off-side-head column switch and floor dimmer button.
TSSC appears to have a "Spitfire 4" manual in their 'bookshop' listing.
But likely it's a reprint of the home market manual. Oddly, the "US
edition" of the original owner's manual for the Spitfire 4 is the only
source I've ever seen for the correct US-market wiring diagram. Even my
original factory workshop manual doesn't have that wiring diagram. Not a
major problem, but a minor annoyance.
Best advice is to keep your eyes open for an original on eBay or other
online auctions, or in VTR and other club classified, or at big automotive
flea markets and literature vendors. Good luck.
